The Indian independence movement was a series of historic events with the ultimate aim of ending British Rule in India. It lasted from 1857 to 1947.
The first nationalistic revolutionary movement for Indian Independence emerged from Bengal. It later took root in the newly formed Indian National Congress with prominent moderate leaders seeking the right to appear for Indian Civil Service examinations in British, as well as more economic rights for natives. The first half of the 20th century saw a more radical approach towards self-rule by the LalBal Pal triumvirate, Aurobindo Ghosh and V.O.Chidambaram.
The final stages of the independence struggle from the 1920, was characterized by Congress’ adoption of Mahatma Gandhi’s policy. Intellectuals such as Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and C. SubramaniaBharathispread patriotic awareness. Female leaders like Sarojini Naidu, PritilataWadedar and Kasturba Gandhi promoted the emancipation of Indian women and their participation in the freedom struggle.
After Rowlatt Act ( indefinite dctention) and JallianwalaBaghmassacare resulted the trusted India gave birth to revolutionaries Like Bhagat Singh, Ashfaquullah Khan, Shiva Rana, Raj Guru, Sukhdev, Thapa, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Shbhash Chandra Bose (Who formed Azad Hind Fauz).
The Indian independence movement was in constant ideological evolution. Essentially anti-colonial, it was supplemented by visions of independent, economic development with a secular, democratic, republican, and civil-libertarian political structure. After the 1930s, the movement took on a strong socialist orientation. It culminated in the Indian Independence Act 1947, which ended Crown Suzerainty over India and created Pakistan. This was the short story of Indians independences, now the question arises why SwatantrataSangramSanghralay in Mewar University.
SwatantrataSangramSanghralay was a dream project of our visionary Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya who dreamed it during his eye operation when he cannot read and write at that time he was listening ShrimadBhagwatGeeta and the life history of Great Personalities of India in Radio set or in a audio system. All of a sudden its came to his mind that how the young generation and the students of Mewar University knows about the freedom struggle and the freedom fighters. He discussed with me and asked me what to do? Surprisingly I was also thinking the same way.
The establishment of Gandhi Museum we had lot of things related to Indian Independence specially we preserve the rare book published by Indian council of Historical research (ICHR). The book published only one edition and few numbers of copy came into the market.
Museum also have a map of “AKHANDA BHARAT” which was the original geographical outline of India before Independence, it will give the right guidance of our Bharat. The center part will be a library of all historical books related to independence so that students can feel the essence of freedom movement by reading the physical books not on the mobile phone. We are having very rich Material of History and the rare collection with the curator DrShubhdaPandeyafter this we will make a nice sculpture garden of the freedom fighters in our university to update mind of our generation.

The moot court hall at Faculty of Legal Studies has been designed to give the best experience to the students of the workings of a real courtroom. It is well equipped with features like a Judge’s Bench, a Witness Box etc. It is a fully air-conditioned hall with Wi-Fi facility and adequate seating arrangement for both the participants in a moot and observers.
Moot court is a simulated court proceeding that allows law students to engage in oral advocacy and argumentation. It serves as a practical training exercise to develop and showcase their legal skills. While the exact format and rules may vary, the general principles of a moot court remain consistent.
The moot court process typically begins with a hypothetical case scenario, based on real legal issues or controversies. This scenario presents a set of facts and legal questions for the participants to analyse and argue. Students are assigned roles as either appellants or respondents, representing the respective parties involved in the case.
The moot court proceedings consist of several key components. First, the participants conduct extensive research to understand the legal principles and precedents relevant to the case. They review statutes, case law, and legal commentary to develop a deep understanding of the legal framework surrounding the issues at hand.
Next, the participants prepare written submissions, commonly referred to as memorials or briefs, which present their legal arguments and analysis. These memorials serve as comprehensive written documents that outline each party’s position and support it with legal authorities.
Following the written submissions, the oral argument phase begins. The participants present their arguments before a panel of judges, often composed of professors, practicing attorneys, or legal professionals. The arguments involve presenting legal principles, interpreting case law, addressing counterarguments, and persuading the judges to adopt their position.
During the oral argument, the participants must demonstrate effective public speaking skills, clarity of thought, and the ability to respond to questions and challenges from the judges. They need to display a solid grasp of legal concepts and effectively apply them to the case at hand. Additionally, participants must adhere to proper courtroom etiquette and maintain professionalism throughout the proceedings.
After the completion of the oral arguments, judges may ask follow-up questions or provide feedback on the participants’ performance. This feedback helps students refine their advocacy skills and gain insights into the strengths and weaknesses of their arguments.
Overall, moot court provides an opportunity for law students to develop critical thinking, research, writing, and oral advocacy skills in a simulated courtroom environment. It allows them to experience the challenges and dynamics of real-life legal proceedings and prepares them for future courtroom appearances.
In conclusion, participating in a moot court offers law students a valuable opportunity to refine their legal skills, apply their knowledge to practical scenarios, and gain confidence in their abilities as future advocates. It enhances their ability to analyze legal issues, construct persuasive arguments, and present them effectively.
